City sticks to recipe for Union Sq. eatery [NY Metro]
Mayor Bloomberg is proceeding with transforming the northern pavilion of Union Square into a high priced restaurant even though he assured the community board that a non commercial alternative would be considered.  The restaurant privatize open common space that has been a historic place for rallies and protests.
