False alarm: Film students scare a neighborhood.
The intersection around King Street & Varick Street was closed off today due to a scare created by young flimmakers. The NYPD received a phone call saying that there were two men with handguns and a a third man with a sniper rifle. In reality it was two college aged film makers shooting a movie on top of Kate Hudson’s apartment building. According to video footage, they were arrested around 2pm by the police, rumor has it that helicopters were also called in. No further news so far. [more]
